When Shootlab was commissioned to film the TRIBE leadership masterclass at the historic In & Out (Naval & Military) Club in Mayfair, London, we knew this wasn’t going to be a typical corporate shoot.
The day was led by Jeremy Holt, founder of the Centre for Team Excellence, alongside Major General Ewen Murchison DSO MBE, whose career in the Royal Marines has shaped his perspective on leadership under pressure. Together, they explored how lessons from elite military teams can be applied to leadership in business.
As specialists in video production Mayfair, our role was to capture not only the speeches, networking, and interviews — but also the atmosphere and essence of leadership that made the event unique. With our experience in event videography London, we crafted a film designed to reflect both the substance of the talks and the collaborative energy of the day.
In & Out Club A Prestigious Mayfair Venue
The In & Out Club in Mayfair provided an impressive setting for the TRIBE Leadership Masterclass. Known for its history and elegant architecture, the venue gave the event a sense of gravitas and tradition.
For us, this backdrop wasn’t just scenery — it shaped the storytelling of the final film. We combined wide establishing shots of the Mayfair location, intimate cutaways of the interiors, and audience perspectives that conveyed the energy in the room. This approach ensured the film highlighted both the professional atmosphere and the unique character of the venue.

Capturing Leadership Speeches
Jeremy Holt opened the session by asking:
“So why do people want to join an organisation like the Royal Marines? Some of them might just want to be part of an elite organisation, or some of them might want to join the military for service… But this is something different. This is the belonging. These are the types of emotions that you as a leader are trying to engender within your team.”
As event videographers, our role was to translate those ideas into film. We used wide audience shots to show leaders leaning in with focus, combined with reaction close-ups that highlighted moments of engagement and reflection.
Interviews with attendees reinforced Holt’s message.
One participant described the day as “a really healthy reminder of the importance of team identity and its impact on business performance.” By intercutting these reflections with the keynote footage, the film demonstrated how a sense of belonging is as vital in the boardroom as it is on the battlefield.
Resilience Under Pressure — Soundbites with Impact
When Major General Ewen Murchison spoke, his theme was resilience and alignment. Drawing on his Royal Marines experience, he reflected:
“Whilst I was a leader and very proud of my unit, I’m still a small cog in a broader machine. We all have a boss, and we’re all part of a broader organisation. The greater the alignment between what you’re doing and what the higher headquarters is doing, the more clarity, the more success you’re going to have.”
To capture this keynote effectively, we used a multi-camera setup:
A static camera for wide framing.
A roaming gimbal for dynamic movement.
Directional microphones for crystal-clear audio.
In post-production, we cut between perspectives and layered in audience reactions to heighten the impact. The result was a sequence that presented resilience not just as an abstract idea, but as a lived principle — the type of visual storytelling businesses can expect when working with a specialist event videographer in London.

Trust and Belonging — Filming Connections
Another theme of the day was trust and belonging. Both speakers highlighted how identity and cohesion create stronger teams, whether in military units or business environments.
We brought this to life visually through b-roll of the networking reception. Smooth gimbal shots glided between groups of attendees talking, laughing, and clinking glasses. Interspersing these visuals with interview clips gave the film an authentic, human feel — showing belonging in action rather than just describing it.
One participant summed it up perfectly:
“The connection that was made today between Royal Marines and leadership in the workplace is really, really interesting. It was engaging, thought-provoking — and what I really like is that it’s based in research.”

Editing the Story of Leadership
Back in post-production, we wove these moments into a highlight reel that told the story of the day:
Leadership insights delivered with authority.
Audience engagement that reinforced unity.
Venue details that grounded the event in its prestigious Mayfair setting.
Participant voices that reflected trust, belonging, and real-world application.
The final edit provided the Centre for Team Excellence with both a polished showcase of the event and a long-term asset to promote the TRIBE protocol. It also demonstrated how effective video production in Mayfair can capture not just an event, but the values and ideas driving it.

“Shootlab filmed a corporate event for Centre for Team Excellence in central London. They did a fabulous job, filming the main event, interviewing participants and producing a seamless show reel. Very impressive and we will work with them again.”
